Chemotherapy Implantable PORT

  • secure the port to surrounding subcutaneous tissue by sutures or placed in the smallest of portal pockets in order to prevent port migration
  • the catheter must be secured to the vein with a firm, but not constricting suture
  • the proper connection of the catheter to the port must be confirmed

TITAN-PORT Systems are totally chemotherapy implantable port catheter systems consisting of an injection chamber (port), a screw closure machanism, a self-sealing silicone membrane and a catheter. Also, Each system includes a special access needle, a dilatator, catheter introducer, these instructions for use and a patient ID-card. Besides, some sets contain introduction instruments and tunnelizers.

The portal chamber made with hypoallergenic biocompatible titanium. This material is non-magnetic. The base plate has
holes for securing the system to the fascia with sutures. The portal chamber and the catheter can be disconnected.

Accordingly, the silicone membrane can be punctured frequently (up to 3000 times) with a suitable special needle, e.g. the enclosed SFN non-coring access needle. Moreover; the membrane is highly resistant to pressure and holds the inserted needle reliably in place.

TITAN-PORT D (dialysis) is a fully implantable, titanium PORT system providing an access facility for per-forming veno-venous dialysis. The set contains two identical port chambers with a self-sealing silicone membrane on the other hand a double lumen polyurethane cathe-ter each case with one inlet and one outlet connec-tion to a Port chamber; also, two srews for fixation of catheter to port outlets. Each system includes two special puncture needles, introducer set, tunnel-izer, user instructions and patient ID documentation.

TITAN-PORT Systems (Arterial/Venous) are fully implantable port systems consisting of an injection chamber (port) a screw closure mechanism, a self-sealing membrane, and a catheter. Above all, each system includes a special puncture needle, this instruction guide, and a patient ID-card. In fact, suitable introducer sets are available seperatly.

Titanport PC (peritoneal chemotherapy) is a fully implantable, titanium PORT system providing an access facility for performing peritoneal chemotherapy. The set contains a port chamber with a self-sealing silicone membrane and a single-lumen polyurethane catheter with a cuff for connection to the port chamber and for fixing the catheter to the outlet tube. Further to this, each system also includes a special puncture needle, user instructions and patient ID documentation.
